Whether you're brand new to mahjong or looking to refine your skills, our lessons offer a welcoming and thoughtfully guided experience for every level.
Our instructors are certified by the School of American Mahjong, bringing both expertise and a passion for the game to every session. You’ll learn the fundamentals, strategy, and etiquette of play in an environment designed to feel relaxed, social, and engaging.

Go through the door between Mora Jewelry and Mountain Madre. The lounge is on the first floor.
There is paid parking available in a parking lot across the street and multiple city garages nearby. Metered parking is available and free after 6:00 PM. Below are the two city garages with rates:

Additional hours are $2/hour
You must cancel your reservation 24 hours in advance to receive a refund.
During Open Play, you can reserve a spot at the table and play with other experienced players. If only one person reserves a seat, the reservation will be cancelled. There must be at least two players scheduled for an Open Play session.
Time slots are in 2-hour increments and the cost for a seat at a regular table is $15 per seat and at an automatic table is $20.

The Velvet Wind will provide everything for your experience. We have tiles, mats, racks and NMJL cards.
No, we are not located in a handicap-accessible area.
We have beer, wine and prosecco on tap. We also offer a variety of non alcoholic beverages and packaged snacks.
